Job Responsibilities

To provide opportunities for academic development, assist students with basic college requirements, and to motivate students toward the successful completion of their postsecondary education. To identify eligible Student Support Services students and assist with the application/selection process. Provide services to promote retention, graduation, and/or transfer to a four-year institution. Supervise Student Support Services student activities as requested by Director assuring compliance with federal regulations and Piedmont Technical College policies and procedures; and coordinate the planning and implementation of student activities.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Bachelor's degree two (2) years’ experience in student services programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications: (1) Master's Degree in counseling, education or related field, (2) knowledge and experience in working with academically at-risk student populations, (3) experience in the post-secondary setting and managing student case loads, and (4) knowledge and/or experience with Student Support Services (TRIO) grants.
