Position Summary:

This position assists with all aspects of services provided by the UGA OneCard Office within the Tate Student Center. Expectations include providing information relating to University identification card policies and procedures, creating/updating identity records for campus affiliates, maintaining accurate affiliate and employee/student dependent records, performing passport and professional photography services, utilizing excellent cash management skills, operating cash registers and processing credit card sales, reconciling daily cash deposits, processing intra-university charges, and direct supervision of student employees. The manager of the UGA OneCard Office will supervise this position.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

Courteous and professional in serving customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position entails an in-depth knowledge of University policies and procedures related to identification card eligibility and issuance, affiliate process for obtaining the UGA ID number, MyID, and email accounts. Strong technical skills with software such as MS Office Suite, web-based applications, and email, as well as conducting routine maintenance on hardware such as ID printers, photo printers, and cameras. Able to use a calculator, FAX/copy machine, and cash register.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist with the daily operations of identification card production, which includes: a) provide front counter customer service, greet and assist customers, answer phones, check and respond to email inquiries; b) produce ID cards, badges, name tags, and photography services; c) perform data entry and maintenance of patron database records; d) troubleshoot and resolve card and account-related problems; e) reconcile daily sales receipts with internal audit controls and prepare reports and cash deposits to the DOS Business Office; f) inspect equipment including computers, printers, cameras, biometric iris cameras, cash registers

Supervise, train, and evaluate student employees who assist with ID card production, photography, and other customer service responsibilities. Participate in special projects, student training initiatives; compile monthly and annual reports; attend staff meetings and training sessions. Perform other duties as necessary.

Manage cash drawers to ensure accurate accounts of all daily transactions. Assist with processing daily cash deposits. Reconcile and prepare transmittal reports for credit card sales. Prepare General Ledger charges to units and departments that pay for employee badges and ID cards. Review calculations for intra-university charges, assign reference invoice numbers and post income to account ledgers on a weekly basis.
