Job Description:

ECU Campus Recreation and Wellness is currently seeking North Recreational Complex Utility Workers. All work will be performed outside at the North Recreational Complex location. These employees must be available to work approximately 12 to 38 hours each week between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm. There is no weekend or night time work required. Applicants must be prepared to work in various weather conditions. Employees will learn all facets of properly maintaining an athletic complex; including basic sports turf fundamentals, field layouts, painting, turf equipment and cultivate practices for turf grass.

Tasks to be performed include but are not limited to: mowing, edging, weed trimming, pruning, backpack blowing, trash pick-up, spraying, painting athletic fields, and assembling athletic equipment.

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.):

Must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing. Any prior experience in landscaping, sports turf management or operating heavy equipment is a plus. Applicant must have a valid NC driver’s license, able to lift 50 pounds and experienced in operating gas powered equipment.
