Advertised Job Summary:

The Rural Health Program Manager will manage and coordinate the health delivery projects for the School of Medicine’s South Carolina Center for Rural and Primary Health Care. This role will also develop and implement new programs consistent with the center’s mission and collaborate with outside agencies, organizations, and health systems in developing, implementing, and facilitating program objectives.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):

Master’s degree in related field and 6 years related program experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer previous experience in coordinating programs. Previous project management experience, from conception to delivery. Experience in public health, program evaluation, or health care systems preferred. Prefer strong experience in Microsoft package (to included Excel, Word, etc). Experience with computer-based documentation and communication.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to establish relationships and work collaboratively with local, state and federal agencies and associations. Ability to communicate effectively, with strong oral and written communication skills. Required to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations.
