The Associate Director works collaboratively, creatively and flexibly in a university mental health setting offering a full range of services including: assessment, crisis intervention, group and individual psychotherapy, case management services, referrals, campus consultation and community-based programming/services; acts with the authority of the Director in their absence; and does related work as required. The employee must have the ability to wear a face covering for the duration of the workday during the COVID pandemic or as determined by university protocol.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in a related field; State licensure as a psychologist or in a related profession; and a minimum of three years of clinical experience including working with high-risk patients, as well as with complex and/or longstanding clinical problems is required. A Doctorate degree is preferred and may be substituted for two years of the required experience. Other preferred qualifications include: experience counseling young adults in a college or university setting; demonstrated commitment, sensitivity and skill in working with a diverse population; interest in providing education and training to clinical staff on clinical issues; and expertise in group therapy or trauma treatment. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
