The Director of Grants and Contracts Post Award Administration reports to the Vice President for Administration & Finance and serves as a key member of the finance team, overseeing the stewardship of government and private funding. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure transparency, comprehension, alignment and reporting for funding and oversee a collaborative process required for accurate analysis, management, and oversight of the organization’s external funding portfolio. This role is responsible for supporting and advising cross-departmentally with the research office, principle investigators, center directors and program staff to create a positive, accountability oriented, collaborative relationship.

-Be available and respect others’ time Education & Experience Position Qualifications: Required:· A baccalaureate degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field.· Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in higher education or nonprofit industry with significant exposure to grant budgeting and reporting processes to government agencies.· Demonstrated ability to communicate with and inspire others to more effective, creative, and productive performance.· Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, administrators, and staff with a commitment to fiscal responsibility and regulatory compliance.· Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions in a timely manner.· A proven track record of success in a complex operational setting.· A history of ethical decision making. Preferred:· Graduate degree with additional certification, such as a CPA preferred.
