Job Description

Position Summary

• Provide assistance in the use of lab equipment and materials needed for instruction in the nursing lab.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures for checking out equipment, supplies and materials to students.
• Adhere to OSHA Guidelines and lab safety and security.
• Provide assistance to the lab instructor with equipment set up and breakdown.
• Help instructors to check off students on their assigned nursing skills lab items.
• Instruct students in the area of mathematical medication formulas.
• Instruct students in the area of physical assessment.
• Instruct students in the protocols and rational for skills being practiced.
• Instruct students in the use and function of nursing skills equipment.
• R. N. Tutor reports to the Simulation Lab Manager.

Minimum Qualifiations

• Current R.N. license in Nevada required.
• Five years of Medical-Surgical experience required.
• Able to teach the operation of nursing skills equipment.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Available days and evenings.
• Willingness to travel to multi-campus sites.

$20.00 Hourly
