The College of Information and Mathematical Sciences (CIMS) at Clayton State University invites applications for part time Instructors of Mathematics. The appointments will begin in Fall 2021 and can be renewed based on performance and course demand. The positions are contingent on funding and enrollment levels in certain courses.Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach 3 to 7 semester-hours of mathematics courses per semester to support the general education requirements of Clayton State students. The availability of candidates to teach morning/afternoon classes at our satellite instructional sites in Creekside.Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will have an earned Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or closely related field with a strong academic preparation in mathematics (at least 18 semester credit hours in mathematics at the graduate level).Preferred Qualifications
The successful candidate must be enthusiastic about teaching lower-division mathematics courses. Because Clayton State University is nationally recognized as a leader in the use of information technology to transform teaching and learning, the successful candidate must have a demonstrable ability to enhance mathematics teaching and learning with various instructional technologies. The successful candidate must be eligible for employment in the US at the time of appointment. Experience in college-level teaching is desired, along with knowledge of technology applications in mathematics classrooms. Preferred candidates will have prior teaching experience.Required Documents to Attach
