Interior Design Assistant (Temporary) - 472829I

SUMMARY:

Assist in the daily tasks involved in the design and implementation of campus interior design projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with furniture installations by coordinating with installers and end users
  • Update vendor catalogs / organize sample library
  • Field verification and site survey of project areas
  • Research materials & products / order product samples
  • Archive completed projects
  • Relocating / moving furniture

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong work ethic needed, with flexibility to adjust to the varied demands
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within varied project teams

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • The position requires the employee to work outside the office often with medium lifting / moving (up to 50 pounds) required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Enrollment in a FIDER accredited Interior Design program is preferred.

WORK HOURS:

  • Temporary, non-exempt, no benefits
  • Monday - Friday, 40 hrs/wk in the summer months (less than 1,000 hours per year)

SALARY STRUCTURE:
Rate starting at $16.00 per hour
