Summary

The Tulane Human Research Protection Office (HRPO)administers the University's Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) and Institutional Review Boards (IRBs), which are charged with reviewing and monitoring human subjects research under the auspices of the University. The primary responsibilities of the Institutional Review Board Analyst include: conducting biomedical and social/behavioral research reviews of submissions to the HRPO; performing biomedical and social/behavioral research audits pursuant to the HRPP; conducting IRB and other compliance related research, training, development, and coordination, as well as providing administrative support to the IRB leadership and other support staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and three years human subject clinical research experience, including legal and/or regulatory research experience
OR

  • High school diploma or equivalent and nine years human subject clinical research experience, including legal and/or regulatory research experience
  • Within two years of hire date, must be a Certified IRB Professional (CIP)

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN
  • Certified IRB Professional (CIP)
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Power Point, Access, and other Windows based applications
