Position Information: DescriptionThe University of North Dakota seeks a full-time, Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor in School Counseling. Responsibilities include intersectionally culturally responsive and social justice oriented on-line graduate level teaching; K-12 school counseling specialty track management; advising master’s students; and serving on department and college committees. There is an opportunity to work remotely, although successful candidates must be eligible for licensure in North Dakota.

This appointment is for a non-tenure track position to begin the July 1 or August 16, 2021, contingent on available funding, for a 9-month contract with the expectation to engage in summer work, or an 11- or 12- month contract. The position is renewable and promotable in accordance with our college clinical faculty promotion guidelines.

Minimum Requirements
    Doctorate (or ABD) from CACREP-accredited Counselor Education, Counseling Psychology, or related fieldLicensed/License Eligible in North Dakota (School Counseling, Licensed Professor Counselor, or related)Successful completion of criminal history records check.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. 

Preferred Qualifications
    Expertise or experience in child/adolescent/family/school populations.
  • Successful experience teaching in an on-line (synchronous or asynchronous) environment.
  • Coursework, training, and experience supervising and advising graduate students.Expertise or experience in intersectionally culturally responsive, data and evidence-based, and social justice oriented school counseling Expertise in diversity, social justice, and service provision to underrepresented and/or rural populations (UND Strategic Plan’s Goal 5 & Goal 4, Grand Challenge #3).
Minimum Starting SalaryComensurate with experience.
