POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

The Division of Enrollment Management (EM) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UT) invites applications and nominations for our Operations Coordinator position. UT is seeking candidates who have the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University.

The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 150 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, University Registrar, EM Communications, and Research & Analytics. This position will serve all departments in EM working closely with our accounting specialist and reporting to the director.

Functions and Responsibilities: Works in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Loan Processing with tasks such as Return to Title IV, Unofficial Withdrawals, late and retroactive fund disbursements, and loan adjustments. Coordinates, performs and participates in administrative, clerical, and other functions such as maintenance of financial and personnel records, compilation and analysis of data, and report generation. Prepares activity reports for Leadership, and heads the FA Emergency Preparedness Team. Coordinates the employee timesheet reporting and submission for the Department, and manages travel arrangements and processes reimbursement documents for Department staff.  Serves as backup to Reconciliation Coordinator, and assists in completing new employee onboarding.
 



Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: Associate’s degree and 2+ years of accounting, business, higher education or related experience required

Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred. Working knowledge of federal and state financial aid rules and regulations preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to write clearly and concisely using effectual writing skills.  Sensitive to cultural diversity and ability to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds.  Proven ability to work effectively as a team member. Ability to analyze and interpret data, and ability to make and be responsible for decisions.  Ability to work independently and under time constraints.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (or similar). Ellucian Banner, OnBase, and/or FootPrints experience preferred.
