Oversees day-to-day University of Toledo Residency operations and is responsible for budgeting, cost management, quality and performance improvement. Serve as liaison between the Residency Program Director, clinicians, residents, medical students, Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Medical Education, Registrar, institutional representatives and affiliated hospital personnel.Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to compose own correspondence as well as manage complex statistical data.Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with clinicians and other staffKnowledge of accepted general office practices and knowledge of protocols unique to medical education.Ability to perceive and understand broad objectives. Organize time and material toward same.Comprehensive knowledge of word processing concepts, spreadsheet programs and databases (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).Experience with medical terminology.Ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks.Ability to organize work, coordinate projects, set priorities, meet deadlines and follow up on assignments with little or no supervision.Knowledge of budgetary and variance reportingAbility to identify, analyze and evaluate problems and recommend effective solutionsThree to five years experience in surgical practice setting; Associate Degree or MA preferred.
