Under the direction of the Department Administrator, this position will support the academic division of the department. Responsibilities include supporting the Research & Education Coordinators for the residency and clerkship with day-to-day tasks.Qualifications:
Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.
Keyboardingspeed 30 wpm.
OneYear of secretarial experience required.
Mustbe proficient in Microsoft Office programs - Word, Excel, Powerpoint andOutlook (must be proficient with scheduling in Outlook).
Musthave knowledge of and be able to navigate through Banner, Web Report Libraryand Med Ed for student evaluations and grades preferred.
Experiencein a medical academic position and knowledge of clerkship and/or residencyprograms.
Musthave excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented and have the abilityto multi-task and work with interruptions.
Musthave the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Musthave excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals atall levels of the organization.
Musthave the ability to prepare research grant applications, abstracts, as well asmanuscript preparation and editing.
Mustwork well under pressure and have demonstrated dependability.
Musthave the ability to formulate letters from verbal communication.
Musthave the ability to calculate fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Abilityand willingness to be flexible and cooperative in handling and adapting tochange in conjunction with the needs of the department.
