The Department of Physics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) invites applications for a temporary Lecturer position in all areas of Physics. We seek highly qualified applicants with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to teach at all levels. These are 100% non-tenure track academic positions. Lecturers are sought for the upcoming summer semester.

Applicants for this position must have a PhD in Physics or a related field. Ideal candidates will have multiple years of experience in teaching core courses in a terminal degree program. Previous experience teaching lecture-based courses and laboratory courses in Mechanics and Heat, Electricity & Magnetism and Modern Physics, Mechanics, or Electricity and Magnetism. Competitive applicants will show promise of excellence in classroom instruction and will demonstrate knowledge of modern pedagogical practices. Classes are held from June 14 thru August 5. The preferred starting date is for teaching during summer 2021.
