03-May-2021 Close All Job SummaryThis position provides computing technical support to University of Colorado Boulder students, faculty, staff, retirees, and alumni for all supported computing and application services. The position is responsible for first and second level assessment and triage determination for the Office of Information Technology (OIT), Office of Information Security (OIS), and University Information Systems (UIS) supported IT services. These services include (but are not limited to) networking, client support, Windows and Apple devices, software applications, online learning management applications, and peripheral devices. This position interacts with customers on a regular basis and provides a high-level of customer service through prompt and professional interaction. Accordingly, this position requires a professional level of soft skills, in addition to technical and organizational skills. This position includes on-call responsibilities for defined periods of time. This position creates interactive applications using a variety of programming/scripting applications that aid the customer support analysts by improving efficiencies with respect to business needs. This includes applications that promote automation and the analysis of operational data. Responsible for making decisions with regard to which programming/scripting language is most appropriate for the development of the application/s to ensure it works and integrates properly into the OIT support model.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education in IT field.
    • A combination of education and professional experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the educational requirement.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing IT support or in an IT functional area.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and provide customer service that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer technology on own initiative, unaided or as part of a team.
  • Experience with Google and Microsoft applications.
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • Experience with Atlassian Confluence.
  • Experience with the campus PeopleSoft database, Campus Solutions.
  • Experience with CISCO Finesse Call Center Technology.
  • Experience with Beyond Trust.
  • Experience with at least 2 of the following, JavaScript, HTML,
  • CSS, C++, Python, PHP.
  • Familiar with Linux.
