Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instruction, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating student performance, and advising students. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Candidates must also be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must have at least a master's degree in nursing education. Applicants who have an MSN in another area will be required to complete a post-master's certificate in nursing education within three (3) years of hire. Candidates must also have a current SC RN license and a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience related to the primary area of assigned teaching responsibilities, which is mental health nursing.
Teaching experience in an ADN or BSN program is highly preferred. Knowledge base of content related to assigned teaching responsibilities, and clinical experience consistent with assigned teaching responsibilities are essential. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are also essential.
