Must possess a working knowledge of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) legislation. Responsible for managing all aspects of the initial and transfer eligibility process for all incoming student-athletes across all sports, ensuring all student-athletes are eligible to participate in intercollegiate athletics. Serves as the athletics department liaison to the NCAA Eligibility Center. Works with incoming Prospective Student Athletes (PSAs), their parents, athletics department coaches/sport specific staff, and guidance counselors to clarify and advise on any academic issues pertaining to initial eligibility. Evaluates high school transcripts and develops preliminary initial-eligibility evaluations for all PSAs, while also providing regular status updates to FSU coaches and staff. Responsible for initiating the transfer evaluation process for all transfer PSAs.

Assists in compiling necessary information for incoming freshman and transfer student athlete applicant review by the FSU Office of Admissions and the FSU Admissions Committee. Provides regular status updates to coaches concerning incoming PSAs regarding admissions status and, if necessary, communicate with PSAs and their parents regarding same.

Compliance sport liaison to assigned sports, responsible for assisting in the investigation of known and/or alleged rules violations, as well as drafting and submitting waivers, violations and rules interpretations to the NCAA and/or ACC. Provides coaches, staff (inside and outside of the athletics department), student athletes, and other entities responsible for compliance with NCAA and ACC rules with interpretations and information regarding regulatory compliance on a regular basis.

Conduct rules education for athletics department and its stakeholders to assist University’s athletics programs with NCAA and ACC rules compliance.

Contributes to the overall success of the intercollegiate athletics program by performing all other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: post-high school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)

Knowledge of the Atlantic Coast Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.

Experience working in athletics compliance at either a D1 institution, Power 5 conference office, or the NCAA.

Posses organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects/events to meet deadlines.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Experience using various computer programs (i.e. LSDBi, Compliance Assistant, AMA Online, JumpForward, Teamworks, Microsoft Excel).
