Position Description:
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for initiating, tracking and advancing projects within the Marketing and Communications department. He/she ensures that UCLA Anderson's marketing materials are resourced and managed efficiently, delivered on time, and of the highest quality.

The PM is a trusted liaison between Marcom and the larger Anderson community. He/she is the go-to person for day-to-day project requests, status updates and general support needs. An essential member of the project team, the PM participates in strategic planning with an eye towards resource allocation, utilization and efficiency. He/she collaborates with the entire marcom team to facilitate on-time/on-budget delivery of all production assignments.

This position requires a strong strategic thinker with exceptional organization, ability to manage 40+ projects at a time, and an understanding of the marketing process for both digital and print. The position also requires a true team member with excellent collaboration and communication skills.

These communication and management skills will be utilized to manage all of the marketing resources on a daily basis, with an eye towards future workload. This position will also be expected to create an annual calendar of the workflow, on a high level basis, to anticipate any challenges as it relates to throughput.

The PM is expected to utilize the project management system (Asana), allocating workflow based on resources and creating and managing to timelines. He/she serves as a primary contact and consultant with business units across the school to produce: marketing tactics, websites and website updates, e-mails; e-newsletters; digital tactics and printed materials. This position handles all of the RFQs, estimates and production of printed materials. The PM is also in charge of the weekly production meeting and the Development/Marketing meeting.

In addition, the PM works with the Marcom team's financial administrator to ensure that vendor agreements are efficiently processed from assignment through completion of projects.

The PM contributes to strategic marketing planning. He/she stays up-to-date with new advances in digital and print and social marketing and production, and is a part of making recommendations for efficient and effective marketing to partners.
