Position Description:
Under the general direction of the Human Resources Manager, Human Resources Coordinator manages all aspects of the department human resource and support activities as needed. The HR Coordinator will serve as a resource to employees and supervisors for HR and payroll questions but will also connect the employees to HRPC for questions regarding their benefits and payroll.

This includes being responsible for maintaining accurate and current personnel information; assisting in the development and implementation of administrative and operational process and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity; developing departmental resources and trainings; and creating internal staffing reports for various uses.

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the on-boarding process for all staff employees at Geffen Academy. Duties include academic personnel/payroll data analysis, supporting recruitment, personnel administration, scholars, and graduate student teacher assistants. The HR Coordinator will also support the CAO in ensuring policies and procedures are communicated and followed by staff.

The incumbent must have excellent verbal and writing skills as they will be responsible for communicating with a wide variety of constituents.

The incumbent must be able to interpret policy, take initiative, make good judgement, and independently prioritizes work while maintaining confidentiality.
