Job Summary/Basic Function:

Brief Description:
Lamar University seeks a tenure-track experienced Assistant Professor in Spanish who can teach in the online Master of Arts in Teaching Spanish Degree and in the face-to-face and online Spanish program.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Ideal candidates will be well qualified and have experience at the graduate and the undergraduate level, preferably in Spanish Linguistics. But since we are a small department, we will consider other areas of expertise. The Department of English and Modern Language expects quality research and departmental, college, university, and regional/national service for tenure track positions.

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience with appointment expected at a minimum rank of associate professor.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience):

Minimum qualifications include:
•A Ph.D. in Spanish in hand.
•Experience or ability to work in diverse online platforms.
•Native or near native fluency in Spanish.
