General Description:

The Records Counter and Graduation Assistant provides full time coverage of the Records Counter and assists with answering the main phone lines for each office.

Minimum Education/Experience:

1 year customer service experience

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to relate to and communicate effectively with a diverse student, faculty, and staff population.

Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with attention to accuracy and detail.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate professionally both verbally and in a written format.

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sedentary work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
This position requires the person to frequently move about the office and OCCC campus.

This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to administration, faculty, staff, students, and others to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.

This position requires the person to frequently remain in a standing and stationary position.

This position requires the person to frequently position self to move or pull equipment or materials and/or assist customers.

This position requires the person to frequently position self to access materials that may be above head or at ground level.

This position requires the person to use upper and lower body to exert force up to 10 pounds to grasp or pull materials or equipment.

This position requires the person to perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.

This position frequently requires the person to operate a computer and/or other equipment and mobile devices to perform the essential functions of the position.

This position requires the person to frequently operate equipment that involves repetitive motions of hands, wrists, and/or fingers.

3. VISUAL ACUITY:
This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned, to make general observations, and/or operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.

4. WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position performs the essential functions in an indoor, office setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in higher education preferred.

Work Hours:

Must be available to work within the schedule of the office’s operational hours:

Monday: 8:00am to 6:00pm
Tuesday: 8:00am to 6:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00pm to 6:00pm
Thursday: 8:00pm to 6:00pm
Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
