Job Information Job ID: 226361Position # 20013568The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Augusta University seeks a Lecturer of Analytical Chemistry to begin in Fall 2021. Primary duties include teaching introductory chemistry and one or more advanced analytical chemistry courses (e.g. quantitative analysis, instrumental analysis, forensic chemistry), including lectures and/or labs.

The Department of Chemistry and Physics offers an ACS-approved BS program, a BA in chemistry, and a MS in Biomolecular Science with a concentration in Medicinal Chemistry. The department also houses the Chemical and Biomolecular Analysis Facility which includes a 500 MHz NMR (Triple Resonance CryoProbe, HR-MAS and BBP), 300 MHz NMR (QNP), LC MS, LC-QQQMS, GCMS, Jasco dichrometer, ICP-OES, spectrofluorimeter, differential thermal analysis, Raman, and XRD instruments among other spectroscopic and chromatographic instruments. The department will move with the College of Science and Mathematics to a newly constructed building for Fall 2021

The Department of Energy’s Savannah River National Laboratory is a half-hour drive from the university.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of PhD in chemistry or related field, or MS in chemistry with 3 or more years of experience. Expertise in forensic chemistry and prior teaching experience preferred.
