Associate Director, Chapters & Societies
Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Chapters & Societies, the Associate Director is an integral member of the Alumni and Constituent Engagement team. The Associate Director will promote and support Temple University by fostering lifelong global engagement with alumni, students, and Temple constituencies in order to drive the participation, conversion, and retention of stakeholders. Responsibilities include determining, developing, implementing and managing the programs and marketing plans for volunteer alumni organizations including regional chapters and affinity-based groups. In consultation with the Senior Associate Director of Chapters & Societies and Executive Director of Alumni Relations, this role will assist in strategically evaluating existing initiatives and identifying and launching new initiatives in support of the alumni engagement goals of the university and the Temple University Alumni Association.
Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in alumni relations, fundraising, society and shared interest group development/management, and/or volunteer management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities: *Ability to articulate strategies that identify, recruit, train, steward, manage and evaluates volunteers, projects and events. *Ability to strategically plan, organize, prioritize, delegate, budget and review work in order to meet schedules and timelines. *Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills. *The ability to take initiative and follow through with minimal supervision. *Available for evening and weekend work. *Available to travel. Preferred: *Strong understanding and usage of social media platforms.
