General Description: To provide administrative support to the Division Dean, Division Associate Deans, and
full-time and part-time faculty/staff in the Mathematics, Sciences, Technologies, and Business division, and to manage the daily workflow, ensuring that the office is operating in an efficient manner. This position requires critical thinking, troubleshooting, and organizational skills. Supervision of full-time administrative assistant(s).

Special Assignments:

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications:

Required KSAs: Ability to work both collaboratively and independently. Both a pleasant, welcoming manner and a strong customer service orientation are essential. Position requires a high degree of professionalism, judgment, discretion and tact in dealing with students, faculty members, staff, and members of the community.
Competencies: Computer literate, including knowledge of software systems such as SIS, FIS, AIS, HRMS, Image Now and Chrome River. Proficient in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity with Access. Skills: Office management skills, outstanding organizational skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, self-starter, strong written and oral communication skills, and excellent customer service. Abilities: Ability to perform detail work with numerical and qualitative data, ability to work with faculty and students. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and to supervise office operations. Knowledge of accounts payable and purchasing.

Associate’s degree in a relevant field or combination of equivalent applicable experience or training or education. Significant years of experience in a demanding office environment, requiring comprehensive knowledge of business practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in providing effective direct support to an executive is strongly preferred. Previous experience in higher education or office management. Significant office management experience including scheduling and directing daily work priorities
