- % - Responsibilities: Updating web pages when requested by campus partners. Ensuring the accurate integration of content from other platforms onto the site. Checking the site for out-of-date content and refreshing it as needed, including updating images, video embeds and written content. Maintaining the taxonomy structure and keywording strategy to ensure that users can find their desired content. Collaborating closely with the Director of Web Communications and other colleagues in planning and implementing content layout solutions that improve user experience. - (Essential)
- % - Specific Duties: •Support campus partners by helping them keep their web content up to date. •Manage the integration of the campus events calendar (Localist) across the site. •Test and troubleshoot the college website for multiple web browsers using the current, adopted web application tools. •Cultivate professional development strategies aimed at keeping skills current with technology trends and best practices. - (Essential)
•A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
•2 or more years of experience in maintaining website content with a CMS (Drupal in particular; Wordpress also desirable).
•Proficiency in Photoshop or other photo editing software.
•Proven track record and high comfort level in learning new technologies.
•Understanding of and commitment to follow and/or enforce web, College identity, and accessibility standards.
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; demonstrated experience prioritizing work, meeting deadlines, working under deadline pressure, and handling multiple assignments simultaneously.
•Exceptionally strong written communication skills; strong verbal communication skills, editing and proofreading proficiency are required.
•Enthusiastic service orientation with sensitivity to the needs of users at all skill levels; the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience is essential.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Must be organized, possess the ability to multi-task and meet project deadlines.
•Requires initiative, problem solving skills, and high attention to detail.
Physical Demands: Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Working Conditions: The employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
