Job Summary: Works with departmental staff to design and conduct research projects.
Additional Department Summary: The goal of this recruitment is to further expand our efforts in drug delivery and streamline bioactivity and ADMET testing. The candidate will gain experience not only for cutting-edge research but also drug discovery process in a pharma/biotech-like environment. The candidates will join a dynamic interdisciplinary group and should be willing and able to communicate with people from different backgrounds, including biology, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, chemistry, and engineering.
Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in biology, pharmacology, biotechnology, microbiology or toxicology and one (1) year of experience in chemistry, engineering, pharmaceutics, biology, and/or pharmacology, to include experience working with a rat, mouse model.
Skills and Knowledge: Advanced English skills (both written and verbal) are required. Knowledge of standard laboratory techniques, ability to follow general instructions, good communication and analytical skills, careful experiment documentation, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, precision, ability to work weekends, and ability to take public transport. Exposure to lab techniques such as histology, molecular biology techniques, and cell culture techniques. Additionally, the candidate must be willing to work independently as well as within a group setting.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with experience in more than one model and surgical procedures is will be preferred.
