The A Center Department is seeking a strong Administrative Services Manager to serve as the Administrative lead for the department.
This position will reside in the Bartlett Academic Service Center, BASC, with The A Center Department with an oversight of the divisions’ administrative team along with supervisory responsibility over the administrative staff. A high degree of professionalism, organization, discretion, and sound judgment is expected.
The selected Manager will work independently and must take initiative in handling problems or non-routine situations that arise by interpreting policies, procedures or practices and determining the course of action to take to resolve. Strong oral and written communication skills is required and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential. The candidate must be able to lead effectively, have a hands-on approach and optimize the resources available to ensure the administrative support provided to the faculty is effective.

WorksDirectly with The A Centers Executive Director to manager program budgets,creates and communicates financial reports and communications
Participateswith The A Centers Leadership Team
Workwith the Finance Office staff on financial matters (pcard documents/packets,travel, reconciliations)
Reconciledepartment accounts and process corrections as need
Reviewingand authorizing purchases of supplies within budget limits
Monitors,approves and manages expenditures ensuring budget allocations are not overspent
Serveas department liaison to faculty, staff, students, alumni and the publicconcerning information or complaints
Monitorwork activities, advisor calendars, conference room RSVP for The A Center andfourth floor departments
Serveas a backup and provide administrative support to the front desk when shortstaffed
Servesas Liaison to the Budget team in the Provost office
Supervisesthe administrative team to include recruiting, hiring, training,coaching/mentoring, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and time off
Serveas department Leave Coordinator
Coordinatewith the Executive Director and implement business processes
Serveas the fourth Floor Coordinator and collaborate with all departments house onthe fourth floor and work with the Building Manager
Deliveringand or coordinating program/administrative support on various existing eventsand new initiatives
Servesas Liaison to the HR team in the Provost office
Coordinatewith other campus entities to fulfill divisional requests and needs.
Additionalduties may be assigned
Bachelor’sdegree from an accredited higher education institute
Minimumof 3 years of related work experience
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field or working towards completion of Master’s Degree in a related field.
Experience working with a diverse range of constituents ranging from prospective students to major donors
2 years’ managerial experience
3 years of direct supervisory experience in an administrative office or corporate setting
