Job Description:

Research Justice at the Intersections (RJI) is an interdisciplinary research group coordinated by the Center for Faculty Excellence at Mills College that fosters social justice-oriented research and groundbreaking critical analysis. The RJI Fellowship Program offers a small group of competitively selected fellows the opportunity to engage in critical reading and writing groups during one academic year. RJI Scholars meet every two weeks over the course of the academic year to share and comment on works in progress. Fall 2021 dates TBD. Fellows will have an opportunity to present their work during symposia.


Requirements:

ELIGIBILITY
The RJI Fellowship Program is open to:
  • Fellows whose research examines the intersections of race, class, gender, sexuality, religion, and/or nation, and who are interested in exploring ideas related to a research justice framework in their work.
  • Must hold a PhD or equivalent terminal degree, from any discipline.
  • May come from any country (please note Mills College is not able to provide legal advice or assistance regarding visas).
  • Must be able to be in-person for the first meeting of the Fellows in the fall semester and for the final meeting in the spring semester.
  • Applications for one semester will also be considered.
