The Division Chair and vice-chair manage the operating procedures for the entire division. The Division of Comprehensive Oral Health consists of full-time faculty, part-time faculty, phased retired faculty and adjunct faculty; full-time and part-time staff; DDS, MSc and PhD students; clinical/research fellows and visiting scholars. The primary purpose of this position is to take on the duties of the Patient Care Coordinators (PCC) for the Graduate Operative Dentistry/BioMaterials clinics. The PCC is a key player in the day-to-day operations of the Graduate Operative Dentistry/BioMaterials Clinics, supporting the Graduate program director, clinic and program. This position is directly responsible for numerous patient, resident, dental students, and faculty interactions on a daily basis that help ensure clinical and fiscal success. As a first point of contact for patient concerns, resident logistical matters, and interdepartmental questions, this position represents our clinic with outstanding professionalism and service. This position will guide, organize and monitor activities of the Graduate Operative/BioMaterials Clinics, as well as collaborate with the other PCCs in the Division to effect quality patient care. This is done through accurate documentation, ongoing education and coordination of the team’s operations.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Licensed to practice as a Dental Hygienist in the State of North Carolina.Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

This position requires excellent communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with others as a team is essential.
Previous experience as a supervisor is required.
