Adjunct Faculty—Computer Science

Location: Baker College Online (Remote Position - Online Delivery)
Compensation: Compensation based on experience and existing rates for similar positions within Baker College Professional Services, Inc.
Start Date: Fall 2021 (training would start late July/early August)

Reports To: Program Director - Computer Science
Work Schedule: Varies with maximum of 12 credits per semester or up to 28 hours per week

Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of ADJUNCT FACULTY – COMPUTER SCIENCE (PART-TIME) for the benefit of and to be located at Baker College Online (Remote Position - Online Delivery).

General Statement of Duties:

The primary purpose of the Part-Time Adjunct Faculty person is to teach courses in areas of their expertise.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
    Doctoral degree in a related discipline preferredMaster’s degree in a related discipline or a Master’s degree with a minimum 5 years of related work experience requiredSome related certifications preferred (i.e. CPA, CPP, CSSLP, MCSD, Oracle, PCAP, PCEP or similar)Work experience with C++, C#, Python and/or Java preferredFamiliarity with an LMS (Canvas preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, video conferencing, and the Internet requiredMust have effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
    Teach a specified number of classesRevise, review and/or develop curriculum, as neededComplete all required professional development/trainingCollect and submit required assessment of student learning dataParticipate in appropriate campus and system committees, meetings, projects, and activitiesOther duties as assigned
