Job Description
The U54 Lab has an open position for an Assistant Project Scientist with expertise in neuroscience experience with extensive knowledge of mice behavioral, biochemical and imaging assays. The candidate must have experience with confocal imaging and use of Imaging scanner, also the candidate should be proficient on imaging analysis software. The candidate will be responsible for manuscript preparation and training laboratory assistants. Applicants must have excellent supervisory skills, the ability to work independently, including setting team and personal goals and meeting deadlines, oral and written communication skills are essential.

Requirements
The candidate must have a PhD degree in neuroscience or related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in neuroscience research. The person in the position should have strong experience working with confocal imaging and use of Imaging scanner, also the candidate should be proficient on imaging analysis software. Research training should also include experience in biochemical analysis and behavior in mice. The candidate must have excellent writing skills. The position requires strong organizational skills and must be able to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and to manage scientific projects within a complex organization; therefore, excellent interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written communication skills are essential.
