May act as scrub or circulating nurse in various procedures. Acts as a role model to nursing students, and new nurses to the unit. Functions as a Pt. Care Coordinator as requested. $69.11Required Qualifications: Ability to scrub and circulate in most surgical specialtiesAll external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in NursingDemonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation and equipment, and practice of infection control techniques, body mechanics and age related acuity levelsMinimum of six months recent nursing experience working in an acute-care perioperative environmentAbility to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Licenses and Certifications:Basic Life Support(Required)Registered Nurse(Required) Preferred Qualifications: BSN and CNORBilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and familiesDemonstrated experience working in a Level I Trauma Center Physical, Mental, & Environmental DemandsTo comply with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 the essential physical, mental and environmental requirements for this job are listed below.
