Responsibilities

Responsible for all game day and practice operations in include locker room and other facilities. Oversee daily field preparation and coordinate with coaches on the set up of equipment and stations on practice field on a regular basis. Implements specific practice stations according to daily training objectives and various training schedules through the year. Responsible for inspecting stations to ensure they have been set up properly and will prevent injuries to coaches and players during practice schedule. Organize at home and on the road transportation and inventory of all necessary game equipment. Coordinate arrangements for visiting teams with regard to use of the facility, setting up of practice field, and accommodations to include food and laundry.

Responsible for purchasing, inventory, distribution, and accounting for al Nike apparel. Responsible for interpreting and complying with Nike apparel contracts and ensuring training of staff on same. Accountable for meeting NCAA and ACC standards and educating staff on same. Provides input and participates in contractual meetings. Formulates and presents budgetary recommendations for uniform, equipment, and supplies. Oversees the tracking of equipment through the Automated Inventory Control System. Assists with summer camps.

Responsible for oversight and coordination of the purchasing, maintenance, and safety compliance of all football equipment. Responsible for the process of evaluating the condition of equipment and that each piece of equipment meets minimum safety standards governed by a national organization. Responsible for replacing inadequate equipment and reporting the status of equipment to the testing division of NOCSAE. Implements and maintains a program for tracking and supervising the repair and maintenance for all football equipment.

Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising student managers. Training includes requirements for the repair and maintenance for all football equipment, daily field and equipment preparation, maintenance of uniforms, and communication of training schedule objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years of experience, or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years. (Note: post-high school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)

Knowledge of NCAA rules and guidelines

Experience with working game day and practice operations to include locker room and other facilities

Experience working with football equipment and locker room facilities at the collegiate level
