The Division of University Advancement is seeking to hire a Director of Corporate & Foundation Communications to join the Corporate and Foundation Relations Team. Reporting to the Executive Director for Corporate and Foundation Relations, this position requires the ability to manage all phases of the grant cycle. Primary responsibilities are grant writing, proposal development, prospect research, grant reporting and stewardship.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and four years of related professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• General knowledge of philanthropy and fundraising principles or ability quickly assimilate.
• In depth knowledge of principles of assigned area
• Supervisory experience.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others.
• Ability to utilize software relevant to the position.
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications and qualities:
- Research and writing background
- Excellent writing skills, including technical writing, compelling storytelling and outstanding persuasive writing
- Accuracy and fluency in spelling, grammar and content
- Professionalism and desire to collaborate with faculty, staff and university leadership
- Experience working with foundations and understanding relevant content
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility and ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm; some evenings and weekends requiredDriving University Vehicle:

Comfortable using Raiser’s Edge (Donor Database Reporting System). Detailed Proofreader of content and correspondence.o:
Collaborates and coordinates on the preparation of TRIP (Texas Research Incentive Program) submissions to the THECB (Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board).o:
