Description:

The University of Florida, Department of Medicine, is seeking applications for a full-time, clinical faculty position within the Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology Section of Allergy & Clinical Immunology.  The successful candidate will practice within an Internal Medicine academic group practice seeking a personal panel of patients as well as teaching and supervising medical students and residents.  The division also has research opportunities in medical education and other areas.

We are dedicated to developing safer, more reliable, and more available systems of ambulatory and inpatient care.  Faculty within the division are consistently recognized as among the best clinicians and educators in the UF College of Medicine.  The UF Department of Medicine is a national leader in cancer, cardiology, gastroenterology, kidney disorders and pulmonology.  In addition, University of Florida Health Shands Hospital ranks among the nation’s best in nine specialties in the 2020-21 U.S. News & World Report “Best Hospitals” survey.  Resources available for professional development at the University of Health Sciences Center include leadership, education, and research tracts within a Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI), formal mentorship programs and opportunities for teaching, research and other forms of scholarly activity.

The Gainesville region has an inexpensive cost of living, nationally ranked middle and high schools, and superb weather with multiple year-round recreational opportunities including biking, hiking, kayaking, snorkeling and cave diving.

Requisite attributes include a commitment to service, a strong sense of teamwork and a desire to train tomorrow’s doctors.  The annual salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience and education. Rank and tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications. 


Qualifications:

Applicants must be board-certified or board eligible in Allergy/Clinical Immunology and eligible for a Florida Medical License.
