Operates large mechanical sweepers, front-end loaders, tractor-trailers, forklifts, tractor-trailers, hook lift trucks, and a variety of large vehicles and/or heavy equipment. Transports equipment and materials, solid waste, and recyclables. Prepares simple records and performs equipment servicing and minor maintenance operations. Supervises semi-skilled and unskilled workers in absence of supervisory personnel, as directed. Performs related work.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:
*Considerable knowledge of the hazards involved in equipment operation and the safety precautions necessary.
*Ability to drive a truck.
*Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Walk, stoop, bend, squat, lift, climb stairs, sit, and stand throughout an 8 hour shift.
- Lift up to 75 lbs.
- Work around Sanitation Disposal waste/trash.
