We invite qualified candidates to apply for our full-time, temporary Physics Faculty position for the 2021 2022 Academic Year. This will be a 1-year appointment. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, student learning, assessment, and the use of technology in the delivery of instruction. They will be responsible for assessing student performance in coordination with other members of the Physics department to evaluate effectiveness of teaching and student learning and will have demonstrated successful outcomes with diverse student populations. Teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester. Responsibilities include teaching majors and non-majors physics and physical science courses (Physical Science, Astronomy, College Physics, and Engineering Physics).

Qualifications: A minimum of a Master's degree in Physics or a related discipline is required, Ph.D. preferred.  Preferred candidates will have experience teaching at the college level, competence with lab equipment appropriate to the class level, will promote/develop student research-based instructional activities, will demonstrate and embrace the use of technology in teaching, and will maintain the highest possible standards in classroom and laboratory instruction and assessment.
