Perimeter College is looking for a dynamic, strategic leader to serve as Director of Marketing Communications and Public Relations. As a member of the dean’s leadership team, this position is responsible for developing and implementing the internal and external marketing communications strategy for the college and its stakeholders. The Director of Marketing Communications and Public Relations will plan and execute communications that promote the value of Perimeter College to multiple audiences, including donors, friends, faculty and staff and current and prospective students.

This strategic marketing communications position works with Public Relations and Marketing Communications to ensure Perimeter College's messaging supports the university's brand, messaging and digital media.

In addition, it will serve as the primary liaison to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, working with the director of marketing for Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions on developing, executing and measuring Perimeter admissions marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Essential Administrative Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and vision for college communications, public relations and admissions marketing.
  • Develops and manages the college communication strategy, including writing and implementing communication plans and communicating the plans with the dean.
  • Works collaboratively with the academic and external relationships faculty and staff to determine priorities for targeted communications
  • Takes leadership with college events such as commencement and other college-wide initiatives and events.
  • Collaborates with university Public Relations and Marketing Communications to support university-level communications, serves as the liaison between college and university communications needs, keeps university informed of college communications and helps implement university initiatives in the college.
  • Collaborates with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to align Perimeter admissions marketing communication campaigns and materials. Provides content strategy and direction and content creation for Admissions channels, including Admissions newsletters, chatbot, social posts and Slate (admissions CRM).
  • Oversees content development for Perimeter College’s digital, social and print channels.
  • Managers internal communications channels and dean’s communication including newsletters, blogs, email.
  • Ensures quality control of the stories, newsletters, blogs, etc., created by the academic and research units of the college.
  • Supervises Perimeter communications team.
  • Other duties as assigned by the dean.
 



Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and six years of supervisory/management experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
