Job Summary Supplemental Instruction (SI) is an opportunity for students to get additional help as they master a subject. Lead by a student who has successfully completed the course...and usually with the same instructor...students get an exclusive look at the class. Students work together to understand the material and solve challenging issues as a group.

The position is a two to nineteen hour per week, part-time position reporting directly to the Academic Resource Coordinator. The work schedule is subject to change as needed. If students have other positions on campus, they must not exceed 19 total (combined) hours of work per week. Students may not work during scheduled class time, even if there is a cancellation or early dismissal. Students may not adjust schedules without permission from the Academic Resource Coordinator.

Responsibilities
    Extends excellent customer service to faculty, staff and studentsAttends regular meetings with course professors for planning materials and strategiesMaintains communication with associated professors, students, and the Academic Resource Coordinator Conducts one or more recurring one hour sessions per week Creates flyers advertising session times and locationsConducts student surveys of session performanceCompletes FYE training modules and GSW training certification programAttends semester orientation and up to 5 hours of additional training as necessarySubmit bi-weekly payroll documentation (sign-in information, time clock information, lesson plans)Submit weekly lesson plans to Academic Resource Coordinator.Completes tasks including typing, copying, emailing and other related information processing tasksConduct online SI sessions as necessaryMaintain profile and schedule in the Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction course in Georgia ViewOther duties as assigned by the Academic Resource Coordinator or Director
