Job Summary

"The Wolf Wellness Lab Student Assistant will assist in the daily operations of the WWL. This includes utilizing technology and software to ensure that all necessary and required
paperwork is completed for assessments and/or physical activity participation (via Qualtrics on iPad check-in), conduct biometric and fitness measurements using DEXA and other associated assessment equipment, keep accurate records using Health Wizard, and ensure participant confidentiality. In addition, the WWL Student Assistant may be given the opportunity to work with individual participants in health coaching and exercise programming, as well as collect relevant data for various research projects. Additional duties may include assisting with special projects, marketing and promotion of WWL events, and organization and implementation of WWL events.
This is a summer-long position. Continued employment to be re-evaluated on a semester basis thereafter based on job performance."

Required Qualifications

"Current UWG student enrolled on a full-time status.
¿ Ability to complete training session once hired
¿ Ability to work 8-10 hours per week"

Have a minimum of 2.0 GPA

Preferred Qualifications

"¿ CMWL Student
¿ UWG 2.5 GPA or higher
¿ Successful completion of Wellness Coaching (CMWL4100) and/or Personal Training (PHED 4603) class
¿ Personal Trainer and/or Wellness Coaching Certification
¿ Strong technological skills to utilize equipment and software
¿ Strong written and oral communication skills
¿ Strong marketing skills to create flyers and promotional information for events and

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Professionalist, time-management, teamwork, work ethic, adaptability, and motivating attitude.

The position is located in the Coliseum building on the UWG Carrollton Campus. Student Assistants will need to have the capability of completing biometric and physical functioning assessments on participants. This may include demonstration or leading of exercises, light bending/lifting, and taking blood samples
