Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:

Knowledge of: Continuing education in a higher education setting; non-credit program development and marketing; office productivity software systems including Microsoft Office.

Skill in: Written and oral communication including preparing agreements, reports, and marketing materials; public speaking; maintaining good working relationships; prioritizing workload; managing and delegating projects and workflows.

Ability to: Understand and explain policies, procedures, and course proposals; evaluate contracts for services; develop, sustain, and manage stakeholder relationships; analyze client complaints and propose solutions; evaluate/manage risk; multi-task and work under pressure; troubleshoot problems; provide regular summary reports of activities; analyze and prepare basic business budgets including profit and loss statements; identify and escalate priority action items.

Education: bachelors degree

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with education technology tools; supervision; contract processing.

Ability in: tracking revenue and expenses for multiple programs; accessing research resources including databases; acquiring new technical skills.

Job Description:

The Coordinator of Extended Learning Services assists Texas State faculty, staff, and departments in fulfilling the continuing education and professional development needs of their students, alumni, and associations. The coordinator provides planning and logistical services necessary to conduct successful continuing education programming (conferences, short courses, seminars, workshops, and programs), in alignment with marketable skills needs of the region and university strategic plan. The coordinator should demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to service excellence for all stakeholders. The coordinator also assists Texas State academic departments/schools in conducting courses and Study-in-America programs through extension credit, based on student need, faculty availability, and demand.

Job Duties:

Develop new and coordinate existing continuing education programs for internal and external clients. Build, nurture, and sustain mutually beneficial relationships with external and internal constituents. Coordinate extension studies courses and programs with academic departments. Cultivate partnerships with departments/schools and community leaders to expand and strengthen programs. Supervise, coordinate, and delegate workflow. Manage projects, events, and programming and effectively communicate about their status. Assist with strategic and budget planning. Document income /expenses and operate within program budgets. Contract with internal and external stakeholders. Evaluate activities for effective and efficient operation and plan for continuous improvement. Perform other duties as required. Process payroll for instructors.
