Job Summary

Provide administrative office support services within the Office of Faculty Affairs to include managing incoming office communication and document management, organizing and preparing reports and correspondence, data entry, financial administration, and event management. This position will interact on a consistent basis with Unit management and staff, Faculty Affairs representatives and contacts within units; faculty members, and office visitors. Will provide advice and counsel to: Faculty Affairs representatives and contacts within units. This position will supervise: N/A

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Provide general administrative support to the Office and Director of Faculty Affairs, including email, telephone, and in-person customer service for faculty, staff, and other office visitors.

Job Duty 2 -
Receive, process, and manage electronic and physical document files including transcripts.

Job Duty 3 -
Maintain faculty degree information in the OneUSG Connect HCM system.

Job Duty 4 -
Manage inquiries and sublease contracts for the on-campus Provost's Apartments in coordination with the Office of Residence Life.

Job Duty 5 -
Provide event management scheduling and financial administration support for unit faculty development programming and other events and services.

Job Duty 6 -
Receive, review, and process official transcripts and maintain associated records.

Job Duty 7 -
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High School Diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Two to three years job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of policies and procedures that govern academic human resources and faculty administration, including hiring and promotion and tenure.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
General office administration to include document preparation and processing, records management, event planning and organization, and basic financial transactions. Skilled in verbal and written communications, customer service and planning. Use of office and specialized computer applications and database systems is required.
