Summary of Duties:
Under general supervision the Histologic Technician 1, performs a wide variety of tissue processing and analyses, as related to histopathology.Work performed in a high-volume animal disease diagnostic laboratory. Physical eligibility and understanding of BSL-2 laboratory safety guidelines and work environment is required.
Completion of a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) approved school; OR two years of experience in histologic technique. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
