  • Position Description:

    The technician supervises daily operations, orders supplies, maintains equipment in good operational condition, coordinates with and assists Facilities and Construction and University of Toledo subcontractors to complete scheduled maintenance of building mechanicals, implements OSHA requirements for public institutions in coordination with Environmental Health & Radiation Safety, conducts shop safety workshops, certifies all incoming students in safe studio use, facilitates access to the 3D studios, and assists student workers in their supportive roles in the CSS and CVA.


    A bachelor’s degree in art; or combination of education and experiences commensurate with the requirements of this position.

    Working Conditions:This position will work in a studio setting with tools and other potentially dangerous equipment.Position will require active periods of time, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting of at least 50 pounds of dry materials. Safe lighting and ventilation are continuously monitored for maximum safety.
