Description of Work:

This will be a field position, to assist the PI and other project staff in conducting field experiments in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador in the summer of 2021. Duties will include SCUBA diving in sharky waters (to collect organisms, set up experiments, etc.), lab work, maintaining physiology equipment and various sensors, and working in a team under challenging weather and field conditions.

Education and Experience:

Required: Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work is required.

Required: Willingness and ability to travel and stay in the Galapagos Islands, with a valid passport, a valid visa, and/or other appropriate work authorization.

Preferred: BS degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology or similar, SCUBA experience, extensive field research experience, eg, working with physiology equipment are preferred.
