This position is a temporary/hourly part-time grant-funded position. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon funding availability.
The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) in collaboration with the College of Education and Allied Professions (CEAP) at Western Carolina University (WCU) invites applications for Grant Administrative Assistant position. This position was created following the acceptance of a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant, authorized by the North Carolina Department of Instruction (NCDPI). The Grant Administrative Assistant (in collaboration with program faculty) will coordinate all grant-related activities.
The successful applicant will coordinate all grant-related activities including: (1) continuous documentation of program activities and management of budget between WCU and NCDPI including financial MOUs, invoices, and check requests between WCU and its constituents, (2) organize and facilitate the events and activities related to the grant, (3) assist with program recruitment and promotion, (4) collaborate with the Director of LEAP on all grant documentation and reporting, purchasing, and budget tracking reconciliation, and 6) other duties as outlined by the grant sponsors and executors.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position:
-Experience with program evaluation and/or grant execution, assessment, accountability, and budget management
-Experience utilizing online systems for maintenance of records, accessing information, and creating reports
-Ability to navigate written and oral communications between various stakeholders with a disposition toward excellent customer service
-Experience organizing and facilitating meetings among various stakeholders including LEAP personnel, public school partners, and participant familiesMinimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalencyPreferred Qualifications:
Technical skills associated with utilizing databases and excel, software literacy, creating technical reports, video-conferencing, and word processing.
