Full-Time Campus Compact AmeriCorps Member - Social Justice & Civic Engagement
Cornell College is accepting applications for a full-time Campus Compact AmeriCorps Member. This one-year, 11-month position is responsible for promoting and developing social justice and civic engagement opportunities for students through direct service, community advocacy, social activism, and public scholarship. The AmeriCorps member works closely with students, faculty, and staff to increase a culture of civic engagement and promote education around community and social justice concerns. There may be an opportunity to extend the contract for a second year. Anticipated start date mid to late August.

Bachelor's degree required. A successful candidate will understand and have a familiarity with the needs of a college campus. Having a valid driver's license is preferable for this position; owning or having access to a car would be ideal. Some evening and weekend hours required.
Interest in service and in the coordination of service programs; positive attitude; willingness to be flexible and to adapt to change quickly; experience in program management; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks at one time; basic computer skills.
