28-Apr-2021 Close All Job SummaryThe Institute for Behavioral Genetics at the University of Colorado Boulder is hiring a Temporary Researcher to assist the PI with a twin study examining neural correlates of substance use and risk behavior.

Who We AreThe Institute for Behavioral Genetics (IBG) is an organized research unit of the University of Colorado Graduate School dedicated to conducting and facilitating research on the genetic and environmental bases of individual differences in behavior. The PainGen Study is funded by the National Institute of Drug Abuse. Study participants are ~600 adult twins who complete neuroimaging, cognitive assessments, and interviews related to social, behavioral, physical, and emotional outcomes.What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
  • Conduct literature review.
  • Process incoming data.
  • Analyze behavioral, genetic, and/or neuroimaging data.
  • Prepare manuscripts based on analyses.
What You Should Know
  • The part-time (50%) position can be completed at the Institute for Behavioral Genetics or remotely. You will have weekly meetings with the PI.
  • Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

  • MA/MS in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field of study.
  • Experience in neuroimaging methods including MRI and fMRI.
  • Experience with statistical genetics and twin models.
  • Experience with R, MATLAB, SPSS, and with structural equation modeling in OpenMx.

  • Ability to represent the University and our department in a professional manner.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for a research environment.
