This position involves day-to-day management of specific equipment within the Electron Microscopy Center (EMC), as well as participation in general center activities and contributions to longer-term strategic development. The EMC is a cost-recovery center housed in the College of Engineering. Job responsibilities include technical oversight of multiple characterization instruments, working with users and students who need to learn how to perform materials characterization, developing new methods and techniques for characterization, and working to achieve the center’s financial goals for cost recovery.
